CMAR COMMITTEE DESCRIPTIONS & REGISTRATION
1. Membership Committee: This committee is responsible for managing current members and recruiting new ones. They're in charge of overseeing the application process, updating membership databases, suggesting membership levels and dues, and creating strategies to attract new members. They also work closely with other committees to understand their needs and requirements to find suitable members and affiliates.
2. Fundraising/Sponsorship Committee: This committee major role is to develop strategic plans to raise funds needed to support the organization and its operations. The fundraising committee organizes events, initiatives, and campaigns aimed at encouraging donations. They work closely with the finance department to establish fundraising goals and strategies, while ensuring full compliance with relevant laws and ethical standards OF CMAR & NAREB.
3. Public Relations & Social Media/Marketing Committee: This committee is responsible for maintaining the image and reputation of the organization. They create and implement a PR plan aiming to build and maintain a positive image with the public, members, affiliates and NAREB. This includes handling media relations, social media campaigns/content, managing internal communications, developing suitable content for different platforms, and responding promptly and professionally to any issues that could impact the organization’s image.
4. Education and Training Committee: plays a crucial role in the overall development and enhancement of the work force within CMAR. This committee is primarily responsible for creating, implementing, and overseeing a comprehensive education and training program. This includes identifying the training needs of Realtors and Brokers. They are responsible for organizing training schedules, conducting quarterly workshops, seminars, and CE training sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of our members as the market continuously evolves.
5. Event Planning Committee: plays the role of planning, organizing, and executing events for CMAR. This involves creating event concepts aligned with CMAR growth strategy, coordinating with the various committees, managing logistics of the events, and ensuring smooth execution. The committee is also responsible for budget management of events by working with the finance committee, gain sponsorships, and promotions. Moreover, they work closely with PR/Social/Marketing committee to ensure every event has maximized exposure and reaches potential attendees. They monitor the effectiveness and success of each event for future improvements.
6. Legislative Advocacy (PAC): The Legislative committee works towards reviewing, analyzing and recommending policies or legislative actions that could potentially impact the real estate industry. It also fosters communication between the association and public officials to ensure that the interests of the real estate industry are well represented and protected. Moreover, this committee stays informed about current and upcoming legislation, and educates members about these legislative developments. Their dedicated work guarantees that the voice of Realtist are heard in the legislative process while advocating for the best possible environment in the real estate industry.
7. Budget and Finance Committee: plays a crucial role in financial management and strategic decision-making. It is responsible for creating annual budgets, approving committee budgets, monitoring compliance with the budget, and reviewing the organization's financial performance. This might involve scrutinizing financial reports, forecasting revenue and expenses, and planning for future financial needs. The committee advises on financial policies and financial risk management. It provides financial recommendations to other committees and works closely with the fundraising/sponsorship committee, and cost reduction plans. It may also be responsible for liaising with external auditors or financial consultants.

As a committee member, I hereby consent and commit to wholeheartedly respect, uphold and adhere to the established rules, regulations, policies, and certain duties assigned to me by the committee and organization. I understand the relevance and significance of the assigned duties and responsibilities. I commit to perform them with dedication, efficiency, and integrity throughout my tenure serving on the selected committee. I understand that failure to abide by these rules and regulations, attendance, or any deviation from the committed duties, may result in being removed from the selected committee.
